this year's focus (click)
The conflict in Darfur, Sudan, has led to a human rights catastrophe of unimaginable proportions, including systematic and widespread murder, rape, abduction and displacement. Hundreds of thousands of civilians have been killed as a result of both deliberate and indiscriminate attacks, and more than 2.5 million civilians have been forced to flee their homes. The situation on the ground has worsened considerably over the past few months, with renewed violence, Janjawid militia and aerial bombing by the Sudanese military. Currently, the Government of Sudan is resisting the UN Security Council mandated peacekeeping operation that is desperately needed.
I'm saving this for real this time
